Palszap Paper Balcny is an independent, informative publication about handcrafted billiard tables. We write for owners planning a room, readers considering a commission and craft enthusiasts who want to understand how furniture and playing equipment meet.

Our organising question is simple: what helps the playing surface remain consistent? It takes us through slate selection, support geometry, precision leveling, joinery and cloth. A decorative decision is not dismissed because it is decorative. It is simply kept separate from claims about structural or playing performance.

We refer to governing bodies, technical publications and manufacturers where they help clarify a point. A tournament equipment specification applies within its stated scope. A cloth maker’s instructions apply to its specified product. Neither should become an unsupported ranking of every table or textile.
